No Static began in May 2023 as an intimate comedy show in the East Village, built around a simple idea: create a night that felt more considered, exciting, and alive than a traditional stand-up showcase. The earliest shows took place at The Bowery Electric—now Bowery Palace—before moving to The Delancey and eventually finding a home at The Overlook Bar in Manhattan.

In March 2024, No Static introduced a live house band, transforming the show into something entirely its own. What began as a comedy series evolved into a meeting place between New York stand-up and world-class musicianship.

The comedians remain unannounced before each performance, allowing the audience to experience the lineup together in the room. Over the years, No Static has welcomed some of the most respected and exciting comedians working today, including Dave Attell, Bill Burr, Ronny Chieng, Brett Goldstein, Marcello Hernandez, Mark Normand, Chris Distefano, and many more. The shows are phone-free, creating an atmosphere in which the performers and audience are fully present.

In May 2025, No Static became a weekly series. As it grew, the production expanded beyond its original format through special performances, filmed shows, guest musicians, and experimental events such as No Static In the Round. Despite that growth, the central idea has remained unchanged: bring exceptional comedians, musicians, and audiences together in a room where something unexpected can happen.

No Static draws from the spontaneity of stand-up, the interplay of live music, and the intimacy of a great New York night.
